His Life in Short

Francisco Pizarro was a Spanish conquistador who conquered the Incan Empire and founded Lima. He was born circa 1471 or 1476. Francisco was the Governor of Castile from July 26, 1529 to June 26 1541. He was the Captain General of New Castile at the same time. Pizarro married an Incan Princess, Ines Huaylas Yupanqui, and had a daughter named Francisca Pizarro Yupanqui. On September 13, 1524, Francisco Pizarro left from Panama on his first expedition. It was a failure because of bad weather, a food shortage, and conflicts with natives. He left on a second expedition two years later. After living a prosperous life, Francisco Pizarro was assassinated by supporters of Diego Almagro II on June 26, 1541 in Lima, Peru.
